Minimum Requirements for TalkType

  • TalkType requires access to audio in order to generate live captions.

    The device running TalkType must be able to receive the audio as a microphone/input source within the operating system. Once connected, this input can then be selected within the app.

    Depending on your setup, this may involve:

    using the device’s built-in microphone,

    connecting an external microphone, or

    connecting an audio feed via USB or a USB audio interface/adaptor.

    If the audio source is not detected by the operating system as an input device, Caption.Ed will not be able to receive audio for captioning.
